Frequently asked questions
Get answers about DriveHealth, Avery, the Deterministic Clinical Engine, clinical workflows, integrations, and how we work alongside care teams.
DriveHealth is an enterprise clinical engagement platform that helps healthcare organizations operate patient communication, coordination, education, follow-up, and navigation workflows at scale. At the center of the platform is Avery, an AI clinical teammate governed by the Deterministic Clinical Engine.
Avery is DriveHealth’s AI clinical teammate. Avery communicates with patients and human caregivers, understands needs and context, coordinates approved actions across connected systems, escalates to the appropriate human, and follows through until resolution or an accepted handoff. Avery does not independently diagnose, prescribe, or replace licensed clinical judgment.
The Deterministic Clinical Engine is DriveHealth’s clinical policy and workflow-control layer. It evaluates interaction signals, applies approved rules, governs workflow state, and determines when escalation or another controlled action is required. Licensed clinicians retain clinical judgment.
No. Avery is designed to support—not replace—the care team. When a conversation requires clinical judgment, urgent intervention, or specialized assistance, Avery follows the organization’s approved escalation protocol to hand off to the appropriate human resource.
DriveHealth supports patient access, care management, transitions of care, population health, behavioral health, patient education, scheduling and navigation, remote patient monitoring, and revenue and administrative workflows. Each program is configured around a specific clinical or operational objective.
Yes. DriveHealth supports healthcare integration patterns for electronic health records, scheduling systems, care management platforms, contact centers, remote patient monitoring, data warehouses, and custom clinical applications through standards-based APIs, FHIR, HL7, webhooks, and custom connectors.
Yes. Programs can include warm transfers, queue transfers, callback requests, alerts, task creation, and other organization-approved escalation pathways. When configured criteria are met, Avery hands the interaction to the appropriate human resource.
Multilingual capabilities can be configured based on the supported workflow, language, model, and voice. Confirm language availability and validation for your patient population before deployment.
Implementation generally includes discovery, workflow design, clinical governance review, integration, configuration, testing, controlled launch, measurement, and continuous improvement. DriveHealth works alongside your clinical, operational, and technical teams throughout the process.
DriveHealth supports HIPAA compliance with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Business Associate Agreements are available where applicable to the services and relationship.
Yes. Avery can support configured after-hours communication, approved actions, message capture, escalation, and follow-up. Each organization must define response coverage, approved emergency instructions, and fallback behavior. Human coverage is required wherever the configured workflow calls for clinical review or intervention.
Pricing depends on workflow complexity, communication volume, integration requirements, clinical governance, support, implementation, and enterprise configuration. Contact us for a tailored discussion based on your organization and target workflows.
A configured Avery AI agent built for a specific healthcare role, workflow, or patient population. Each Caregiver can have its own approved knowledge, voice, communication channels, tools, rules, and escalation pathways. The capitalized term identifies a DriveHealth product object; a family member or other human caregiver is a person supporting the patient.
Avery can: communicate with patients and human caregivers; understand needs and context; coordinate approved actions; work across connected systems; apply organizational and clinical rules; escalate to the appropriate human; remember longitudinal context within configured identity and retention controls; follow through until resolution is confirmed or a responsible team accepts continued follow-up. Capabilities depend on approved configuration, connected systems, and validation for the care program. Longitudinal memory is described as a documented design; deployment availability and evidence should be confirmed with your team.
